I intended to send out a newsletter once a month, but I haven’t lately because my father died suddenly a couple of months ago. I was close to my Dad and I miss him so much!
Some of my friends have recently lost loved ones, too. My heart goes out to all of you and you have my deepest condolences.
There is a Celtic celebration at this time of year called Imbolc. It marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and spring equinox. I feel I’m in a limnal place right now, halfway between grieving my father and the promise of spring.
I know it’ll get better, but grief is so painful to see through to the end. Yes, the days will get longer again, but knowing that doesn’t make it easier to withstand the darkness.
Be kind to each other. Life is hard enough.
Grieving
